Published in The Puck Review!
Two of my portraits were published in the Jan. 2008 issue of The Puck Review Magazine. The Puck Review Magazine is an ad-free arts journal published by an independently-run non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting young writers and photographers. While the magazine is based in the Boston area, contributing artists come from all over the US and Canada.
The portraits were of my great-aunt Flora who lives in Sonoma County, CA. She was one of the first members of our family to emigrate from the Philippines and she has farmed the same plot of land for over 50 years. She turns 99 years old this year and is still very active and full of spunk! She says the secret to long life is eating your vegetables, and one of the portraits featured in the magazine is of her laughing as she harvested zucchini over a foot long each!
